cawan Platform Privacy Notice

This page describes what we collect when you use cawan and how we keep that data protected. We collect personal information to verify your identity, process deposits and withdrawals, detect fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Your data is encrypted and stored securely. We do not sell your information to marketers or advertisers. We share your data with third parties only as required by law or to prevent fraud.

Our cawan platform operates across multiple regions—Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, and other supported jurisdictions. Your data may be processed on servers located outside your region, but we apply the same security standards everywhere. We comply with data-protection laws in the jurisdictions where we operate. This privacy notice explains your rights and our practices in plain language.

If you have questions about how we handle your data, contact our support team via in-app chat, email, or the contact methods below. We respond to all privacy inquiries within 14 days.

What data we collect on cawan

We collect information in two main ways: directly from you during account setup and verification, and indirectly through your use of our platform.

Data you provide directly

When you open a cawan account, we ask for your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and residential address. During account verification (required before your first withdrawal), we request a government-issued ID (KTP, passport, or driver's licence) and a selfie holding your ID. We store these documents securely and use them only to verify your identity and prevent fraud. We do not share your ID images with third parties except as required by law enforcement.

If you contact our support team, we keep records of your messages, including the date, time, content, and any attachments. We use this information to resolve your issue, improve our service, and train our support staff. Support chat logs are retained for up to 2 years for audit and compliance purposes.

Data we collect automatically

When you use cawan, our servers log your IP address, device type, browser version, and operating system. We record the date, time, and nature of your activity—which games you access, which markets you browse, which payment methods you use, and your session duration. We use this data to detect suspicious activity, prevent fraud, and understand user behaviour trends.

Our platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. These help us remember your login preferences, secure your session, and measure engagement. We use first-party cookies (set by cawan) and third-party cookies (from analytics providers) to improve the platform. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

Transaction data is always encrypted

When you deposit via DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment, we receive confirmation from the payment provider but do not store full payment card details. Bank transfers to e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment virtual accounts are logged for reconciliation only. All transaction records are encrypted at rest and in transit.

How we use your data on cawan

We use your data for several purposes: to verify your identity and prevent fraud, to process deposits and withdrawals, to detect and prevent abuse (multi-accounting, cheating, collusion), to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and to improve our platform. We may also use anonymized or aggregated data for analytics and research. We do not use your data for marketing emails or targeted advertising without your explicit consent.

During major events—Liga 1 season, Piala AFF tournament, Champions League matches—we may send you optional notifications about upcoming fixtures or special offers. You can opt out of these notifications in your Account Settings at any time.

Third-party processors and your rights on cawan

Our cawan platform works with trusted third-party service providers. Our payment processors (DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet) handle transaction confirmation but do not store your full account details on cawan's systems. Our hosting provider hosts our servers and may access data as part of routine maintenance, but they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. Our analytics provider tracks aggregate usage patterns but does not receive your personal ID or account balance.

We may disclose your data to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or fraud-prevention agencies if we are legally required to do so, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect public safety or prevent a crime. We will not disclose your data to these parties voluntarily except in extreme circumstances (e.g., imminent threat to safety).

Your rights regarding your data

  • You have the right to access all personal data we hold about you. Submit a request via in-app support and we will provide a copy within 14 days.
  • You have the right to correct inaccurate data. Contact us to update your name, address, email, or phone number.
  • You have the right to request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements. Some data may be retained for fraud prevention or legal compliance.
  • You have the right to object to automated processing (profiling) that affects your account. We do not use automated profiling to make decisions about your account; all decisions are made by our team.

Data retention and account closure

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, plus 5 years after closure. This retention period complies with anti-money-laundering and fraud-prevention regulations. After 5 years, we delete or anonymize your data, except where we are legally required to retain it longer. If you close your account, your data is no longer used for active engagement, but we retain it for legal and compliance purposes.

Our servers may be located outside your jurisdiction. For example, some data may be processed in data centres in Southeast Asia or elsewhere. We apply consistent encryption and security standards regardless of server location. By using cawan, you consent to cross-border data transfer as described in this notice.
